Going full circle

I spent years learning Chemistry, Biology, Maths and French in Uganda. One of my A-level results was lost making it hard for me to go to Uni. in any science discipline. Nobody is accountable in such instances so, I had to figure out what to do.

I ended up studying an unplanned degree in Hospitality and landed my first job in Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

I later studied Management Accounting in London, I guess I wanted to get closer to money. I soon learned that in accounting you never see the real money but plenty of numbers, I didn't complain.

On starting Errands Etc, my hospitality training comes in handy and the Management Accounting means I have a clue as to what I'm doing.

As for the frog dissections and bunsen burners well, they ensured I don't particularly like les hôpitaux.

Ten things about me

Why I started Errands Etc.

My name is Jennifer Nabwogi. I was born and raised in the land of no hurry, Africa or Uganda to be precise. I now live in London, a land where there is hardly any time for anything. I intend to find a middle ground. I am committed to finding flexibility in whichever forms it may come. Errands Etc is part of that longterm ambition.

Assign an errand

After twelve months of market research, I created Errands Etc in June 2007.

The first errand was run on the 1st of August 2007 amid plenty of excitement, two weeks later the British economy went into free fall. I will forever be humbled by those events.

Errands Etc is not a service you will use or need everyday. It's for those moments when you can't be in two places at the same time or just can't be bothered. It's for whenever time is short

Whether you need a runner to come to your home, your office, your barber's or at the spa, all you need is ask.

I hope that Errands Etc genuinely adds that extra flexibility in the daily schedules of those who use it.

I blog here about some of the unique errands we do. Occasionally, I get carried away and write about the pains and pleasures of an African immigrant trying to make it in Great Britain.
